Founding Partner

Keti Kiladze 

 

Keti Kiladze, one of the leading experts in the field of intellectual property, brings more than 13 years of experience to KB Partners.

She has held various positions in the field and has significantly contributed to developing and enhancing IP systems. Previou
sly based in Geneva as an IP Adviser, she represented the Central European and Baltic States (CEBS) regional group at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Before her tenure in Geneva, she held the position of the Head of the Legal and International Affairs Department at the IPO of Georgia.

She actively participated in policy-making processes in different areas of IP. Keti Kiladze intensively worked on creating legal, administrative, and institutional mechanisms to enhance IP systems and strengthen the capacity of national institutions in Georgia. In addition, she was a member of intergovernmental economic commissions and a negotiator of several intergovernmental bilateral agreements.

Keti specializes in strategic counseling, cross-border IP enforcement, IP litigation, opposition and appeals, patents, trademarks, designs, GIs, copyrights, and other IPs. She served as a Head of Boards of Appeals at IPO
, (more than 1000 IP cases).

For more than ten years, she has been leading cases worldwide on enforcing IPRs. She has managed projects, engaged in extensive research and analysis, and facilitated the implementation of international and bilateral treaties and agreements.

Mako Bakuradze

Mako Bakuradze is one of the founders of KB Partners LLC. Her areas of expertise include intellectual property, civil and cultural Law. She specializes in trademarks, copyrights, strategic planning and counseling, legal drafting, litigation, and IP enforcement.

Mako Bakuradze practiced for several years at the Georgian IPO, reviewing, analyzing, and examining trademarks and GIs
related issues while actively participating in the work of the Chamber of Appeals and serving as a Board member.

She has been at the forefront of various IP protection and enforcement initiatives throughout her career. She was pivotal in safeguarding Georgia's GIs
on the international stage.

Over seven years, she served in diverse capacities at the Georgian National Museum, leading the Legal Provision and Museum Service department, where she oversaw vital aspect
s like IP rights management, branding, business modeling, and commercialization of cultural heritage.

Mako Bakuradze's expertise extends to managing interdisciplinary cultural heritage and copyright matters, making her a unique asset in the field of IP rights.

Mako was actively involved in ICOM's projects.
